Detail Shot

Description: The above ground part is for the Off-White studio, and I draw a storage cabinet in the middle of the studio which could separates the office area and spaces for making products. The waterfall with clear glass at the entrance of the Off-White studio falls into pools on the ceiling of the Auto Fabrica Studio, which will allows the lights come in and also create the natural water ripple patterns on the ground. I use the square motif on both studio and showroom wall so that the part on the ground could looks more like a whole building that have connection with each parts.

The 4 sections of 2 stairs

Stair 1: Auto Fabrica (below ground) → Showroom

The studio in the underground part is Auto Fabrica, therefore in my stairs i made use of the spaces between the newel posts of the stairs to storage the unfinished works as well as the motorcycle parts and tools.  Also I linked the stair boards in two sides with glass panes and widen the staircase, so it will be more convenient for clients to bring their motorcycles to the showroom. The space that the stair newels contact to the wall use the glass so people could see the processes of how motorcycle being produced even when they stay in the showroom.

Stair 1: Short section

Stair 2: Off-White (above ground) → Showroom

The stair 2 goes from the Off-White studio to the showroom. The shape if this stair is inspired by the stripes, which is one of the iconic design elements of the Off-White brand. The sides of the stairs which close the showroom window have no obstacles so people in the showrooms could see clients walk across the the "Off-White stripes" and bring the completed products downstairs. Furthermore the stair is conspicuous so people may recognize the brand in a distance.

Sketchup model week1

2 Images of the Sketchup Model (Week 1)

The sketch : Trend & Meticulous

This is the model I made in Sketchup for this week. I made some little changes form the sketch and added more details to have a  better illustration of  the words I chose last week. I also put some basic form stairs into the model to indicate the approximate  places of  stairs I might use for next week however I am really not sure about where to put them.:(
